Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the Work Time App handles your personal data. The app is intended for private individuals and helps you track your working time.

What data is processed

Profile and account data you provide (e.g. name and email address).
Your time tracking entries and related details (e.g. start, end, breaks, absences).
Personal holidays.
Flexible work-week, duty-plan, pattern and exception data.
Historical work-week settings.
Holiday-work rules.
Technical data required for the app to run (e.g. your settings).

Purposes of processing

Your data is used solely to provide the time tracking features of the app: recording, displaying, and evaluating your working time, and managing your account.

Where your data is stored

Using Work Time requires a user account with a confirmed email address. Your data is stored locally on your device. Entries, profile, settings and other account data required for the app’s features are also automatically synchronised with the server. As a result, synchronised data is generally available on devices where you sign in with the same account. This does not guarantee unrestricted availability or a backup. Recurring duty patterns, their changes and individual day overrides are synchronized between devices for signed-in users.

Retention and deletion

Work-time entries from a calendar year are stored until the end of the third following calendar year. From the following 1 January they are scheduled for automatic deletion. Actual removal takes place during the next successful regular deletion run. Example: entries from calendar year 2023 remain stored through 31.12.2026 and are scheduled for automatic deletion from 01.01.2027. If account deletion is completed successfully, the user account and associated active data on the server are removed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, among other things, rights of access, rectification of inaccurate personal data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, provided the respective legal requirements are met. You can edit or delete work-time entries yourself using the app’s features. You can also change certain account and profile data in the app. For privacy requests, contact us at work_time@mv-app.info.

Location reminders

Location reminders are optional and turned off by default. When you enable them, Work Time stores the workplace you set up, its coordinates, the selected radius and your reminder settings locally on your device. This data is not synchronised with the Work Time server.

For the one-time resolution of an entered address, Work Time uses the operating system’s location or geocoding service. The entered address may be processed by the respective system provider. Work Time does not use its own address search service for this and does not store a search history.

When location reminders are enabled, the operating system monitors the set radius and notifies the app when you enter or leave it. Work Time does not continuously record your location and does not store a location history. Technical arrival and departure events are kept locally only for as long as needed to process the reminder.

You can change or revoke location and notification permissions at any time in the system settings. You can also disable location reminders at any time in the app. Without the required permissions, reminders may not work or may work only with limitations.

Deleting the workplace, completely deleting the account or performing the corresponding local reconfiguration removes the related local reminder data.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy. We will inform you of significant changes in an appropriate way, for example with an in-app notice.

Notice before deletion

The app shows up to three in-app reminders: approximately three months, one month and one week before scheduled deletion. The notices appear only when you open or use the app during the respective warning stage. They are not operating-system push notifications; delivery is not guaranteed if you do not open the app. You can dismiss each warning stage individually. This lets you save the affected entries beforehand via More → Export.

Email reminders

In addition to the in-app notices, email reminders are enabled by default. You can disable them at any time under More → Privacy & legal → Permissions & privacy. They are sent only to the confirmed email address of your user account; delivery is not guaranteed. Email reminders supplement the in-app notices and do not replace them.

What you can do yourself

You can edit or delete individual work-time entries in the app. Via More → User → Delete account & data you can request deletion of your account. If account deletion is completed successfully, the user account and associated active data on the server are removed.

Uninstalling removes only the local app data on this device. The user account and synchronised data on the server are not deleted. If you also want to delete that data, use account deletion in the app before uninstalling.

Website

This website uses no analytics or advertising services and sets no cookies. The IP address is processed technically to deliver the site; access logging is not enabled in the current Caddy configuration.
